I asked politely (U.K.). I was refused and told I could leave without if I liked.

Aspiration was removed from the training around ten years ago.
12
It isn’t critical, the risk is low. However Denmark have chosen to remove that risk.
12
@KiwikimNZ covid vaccines are not subcutaneous, they’re all IM.
10
@j_o_h_n_d_u_n_n they will refuse
9
Because the numbers are insignificant... ...unless you happen to be one of them.
6
It’s no longer in their training
6
That is the current belief. But... 1) The dangers of accidental IVs are well documented. 2) With deltoid IMs, a small risk still exists. But they won’t discuss it.
6
@dancroitoru364 I have made no such claims. However removing a known risk seems a wise precaution.
6
Yes. They’ve also banned Moderna.
5
Except accidental IV of Pfizer vaccine has been shown to have a risk of myocarditis. The flu vaccine works differently.
5
1) The risk of accidental IV is greater in the glutes. 2) There’s the additional risk of nerve damage. The ONLY benefit of a glutes IM is that they still (in theory) aspirate due to the higher risk.
4
You can leave without
3
Unknown. Given the demographic who have flu shots, nobody cares.
3
It might be
3
@johmyh14 Yes, you’re right, they’ve only banned it for some age groups... ...so that’s ok then 🤔
2
@Beekind799 what part of ‘they removed aspiration from the training’ do you not understand?
2
The ads are done by YouTube.
2
Well done, you just proved your total ignorance of IM injections.
2
That’s a separate issue
1
@ZeroMass it’s still a separate issue.
1
Given that the policy was changed around ten years ago, that seems unlikely.
1
@dantronics1682 It seems to be throughout the ‘West’, 10 years ago +/- 2. If anyone has precise dates and reasons, please tell us.
1
@johmyh14 grow up
1
@johmyh14 I bet you’re a wow at parties.
1
@SillyGrandma99 Unless accidental IVs occur more frequently in young males... ...maybe because they have less fat?
1
@wayward-saint It is simply wrong to claim that ‘most’ nurses will aspirate on request. If they’re under the age of 30, they were never taught how.
1
@timsmith894 In other words, she lied.
1
@gmoogle2615 1) The Pfizer instructions say the vaccination must be IM. 2) The ONLY way to 100% ensure IM is to aspirate.
1
@louarmstrong6128 it was saline
1
@jd1859 my understanding is the risk is low and aspiration can be more painful.
1
@sammyboogoeslive9467 Yes, aspiration is no longer part of the training in the U.K. You can see for yourself on the NHS website.
1
@rockmandokeeperofthestones70 I’m not responsible for the clear IM process on the U.K. NHS website. Nor am I responsible for your ignorance of what’s there. Nor your insistence on claiming a blatant lie for what is trained in the U.K. You’re welcome to provide your evidence that nurses in the U.K. are currently trained how to aspirate... ...oh wait, you can’t, because they aren’t.
1
Grow up
1
@jon_collins 1) Why should he? 2) I’ve never noticed any 3) If there are any, they aren’t chosen by Campbell so why should they effect the seriousness of what he presents?
1
@jon_collins yes
1
No 1) They don’t autopsy 2) It wouldn’t prove anything
1
@patrikpass2962 that’s a separate issue
