Nobody knows. Blood transfusions are best avoided regardless if at all possible.

Supplements are easier and more effective.

The fact remains that most people are deficient in vitamin D and it’s been known to be an anti-viral for decades. It doesn’t actually matter whether it’s called a vitamin or a hormone, you still need it 🙄 It’s also cheap, so to claim some weird conspiracy about vitamin D production is ridiculous.

Any skin exposure is fine, forearms are generally easier.

Yes. Note that D3 is more easily metabolised than D2, and both are fat soluble so it’s more effective when taken with fat/oil in a meal.

How is that relevant to the data presented?

Some medical conditions /medications are contraindicated with vitamin D. Sarcoidosis being an example. Most people should be fine with 4,000 IU/day, but you should consult your doctor if you have any medical conditions/medications.

So you’re going to ignore all the evidence that ethnicity with regard to skin pigmentation has a direct correlation? 🙄

@luxmami So you’re going to pretend you didn’t say your conspiracy nonsense then 🙄 You’re utterly clueless.

It doesn’t matter 🙄

It’s virtually impossible to get enough vitamin D from diet, especially at high latitudes in winter.

True, but it’s been largely ignored.

Source? Note that Sweden adds vitamin D to milk due to the known risk of deficiency.

That’s the level in the blood, not the daily amount required to be ingested.
