@ΚώσταςΚοζαδίνος Silicon is one of the most abundant elements on Earth. Covering less than 0.1% of the Sahara with solar panels will have no significant effect on the ecology. Both cobalt and nickel are being phased out of large scale battery production. Iron and lithium are not in short supply.

@ΚώσταςΚοζαδίνος The price of batteries is decreasing rapidly, go look for yourself. The complexity of chips steadily increasing is driving their price increases. The price of a specific chip has fallen around 1000x in the last 20 years.
