The last attempt to introduce identity cards to the UK failed because it became known just how many people would have access to the data and how all encompassing that data was. Jobsworths in your local council would have had access to your medical, financial and criminal records.

That’s because it is, the Germans introduced identity cards to all the countries they occupied in WW2.

@callummason6589 - I never said we weren’t, I simply stated historical fact. Facts don’t care about your feelings. It’s not my fault that the Germans hate themselves for what they got up to in WW2. You’re doing it all over again now to the whole of Europe with your misguided mass immigration that even Merkel has admitted was a bad idea.

@MadManRob1 - you are correct, some Celtic still exists, however the level traceable to Scandinavia/The area now known as Germany is correct, none of which has anything remotely to do with identity cards.
