The British government allegedly deliberately allowed haemophiliacs in the U.K. to catch HIV from factor-8 that was known to be contaminated in order to determine exactly how contagious it was from ‘normal’ relations - which it isn’t. All the files associated with this outrageous experiment on the unwitting guinea pigs have (of course) been ‘lost’.
