Hawaii having lithium is utter nonsense. Hawaii is volcanic, lithium deposits result from dried out salt lakes.

LFP batteries don’t contain cobalt. Most Teslas use LFP.

@jovenc4508 The price of lithium has halved in the last year, there’s no shortage.

@jovenc4508 LFP batteries can go 10,000 cycles. Most drivers do less than 40 miles/day so they only need to recharge weekly. Please explain how a battery life of nearly 200 years followed by recycling is a problem.

@jovenc4508 The Tesla Y is the best selling car in the world. You’re utterly clueless.

The power output is too low for most applications. It’s definitely totally useless for phones and cars.

You’re welcome to provide your calculations… …oh wait, you haven’t done any 🙄

There isn’t a lifespan issue, LFP batteries can go 10,000 cycles. Most drivers do less than 40 miles/day so they only need to recharge weekly. That’s a battery life of nearly 200 years.

@iKaGe01 The Leaf uses Li-ion with 500 charge cycles. Plus it’s range is shorter requiring recharging around 2x more often.

The need doesn’t exist.

You need to get professional help.

The ‘child slavery’ referred to in this video relates to cobalt mining. The oil industry uses large amounts of cobalt in its refineries. LFP batteries don’t contain cobalt. Most Teslas use LFP batteries.

So… You really missed the pun then…

@EquaTechnologies I’m still waiting for your non-existent calculations.

jacobmayes6372 Yes, I know, I used to share a house with the lead on the project. Are you going to show your calculations of the cost/benefit of these devices?

It’s already been done and the power output is too low for most applications. It’s definitely useless for phones or cars.
1
@piconano I didn’t say they were. You’re not as smart as you obviously think you are.
