  1. Let’s remember that BD pursued the wrong strategy for over 30 years (while going through 3 different owning companies) until Tesla surpassed them in less than 3 years, forcing BD to change strategies in a desperate attempt to remain relevant.

  2. Except electric actuators are much cheaper and simpler. BD have never designed their robots from the ground up to be mass produced as cheaply as possible. BD are the result of cost-plus military contracts and its taken them over 30 years to get this far.
