  2. It’s hilarious that Tesla is going to bankrupt Ford by using the vertical integration that was originally pioneered by Ford themselves a hundred years ago.

Tesla has been claimed to be operating with a 40% profit margin, and works continuously to become more vertically integrated and less dependent on 3rd parties. Ford originally operated this way, but now outsources everything it can. In my opinion a car company cannot achieve that level of profit margin, while outsourcing, and remain price competitive with Tesla.

  4. A great book for insights into the car industry in ‘Wheels’ by Arthur Hailey... ...Even though the book is now 50 years old, by the look of that car things haven’t changed much 🤣
