Hilariously wrong, the Tesla-Y is on track to be the best selling car again this year.

Example of racism?

EVs are more efficient than ICE regardless of the energy source, the breakeven for the energy used in their construction is around 10,000 miles and falling rapidly with the growth in renewables.

@M3au Cardigan’s video is ridiculous cherry picking. A Tesla-3 is a more accurate comparison. It costs $54k not $89k The battery is 58 kWh not 79 kWh A Tesla-3 gets 4.5 miles/kWh which is 0.14 kWh/Km NOT 0.184 The batteries last 20 years, not 10. The batteries are recycled (or repurposed in static storage). The source of the electricity for charging is not 100% coal, it’s currently 46% and falling rapidly (in the U.K. it’s only 2%). Combining those figures produces less than 1 ton of co2, instead of 7. ( 10/20 x 58/79 x 0.14/0.18 x 46/100 x 7 )

The situation will become much worse than a ‘zero sum game’ because Robotaxis have 4-5x the utilisation.

Completely the opposite, the prime spike slowed down the move from ICE to EVs.
1
ICE demand is falling much faster. People are keeping their old ICE cars longer because they want their next car to be an EV.

@costelgigi31 The sales figures show otherwise
1
@costelgigi31 Total EV sales grew in the US by 14% in the second quarter of 2024 when compared with the same period last year.
1
@costelgigi31 Over half of the European car market (52%) is now electrified in some form. Cluelessness confirmed Blocked

Cope harder

The market proves otherwise. People simply won’t pay double for a device that might last twice as long because they know the device will be totally obsolete by then. TVs and smartphones being the obvious examples.
1
EV demand hasn’t plummeted. Go learn something.
1
Because that would make their bankruptcy even more obvious.
