It’s 2kgs after 12,800 miles, but the filter is full after 200 miles. So each filter captures only 30g (1oz).

@donotcare44 nice answer

The car just uses a chemical filter/scrubber. The filter is full after 200 miles and captures 1oz (30g). Their project does not address processing the filters. It’s a gimmick that reduces the range of the car. The reality is that capturing CO2 is better and more efficiently performed by a dedicated industrial large scale processing plant. Note that if the car isn’t charged from renewably sourced electricity then they’re actually making things worse. The whole project is meaningless virtue signalling, which given what the Dutch government is currently doing to its farmers, is entirely predictable.

Plants grew fine 200 years ago when CO2 levels were half their current levels. Please stop promoting worthless propaganda.

You have to travel 200 miles to capture 1oz (30g).

@truecolors5413 did you even understand my comment? It’s just a chemical scrubber. The filters need processing that uses as much energy as they’re capturing, it achieves nothing.

@hanswitvliet8188 A Tesla motor is 300kW. Most portable generators are less than 3kW.

@hanswitvliet8188 A 24kW generator is 4’ x 2’ x 2’ in size, weighs over 500lbs and costs over $12k. Using it inside a car would have major cooling problems, be extremely noisy, and cost more to run than an ICE car.

CO2 is actually heavier than air, but it generally mixes in fairly evenly.
