  1. I had a friend in the U.K. artillery who showed me his hi-power. I asked why an officer in artillery would need a sidearm. He said it was for after taking out a convoy to make absolutely sure everyone really had been despatched. (I believe they moved to Glocks around 2013).

  2. I nearly got a hi-power, I had the paperwork and everything (I’m in the U.K.)... ...But then Dunblane happened ☹️(1996)
