  4. Yeah, let's not abolish the filibuster because of its racist history, which is further perpetuating racism by not abolishing it! That's the warped logic of people like Charlie Brown Manchin and Silly "Surrender" Sinema. Silly "Surrender" Sinema is once again being disingenuous, knowing and ignoring how the Republican obstructionism that began under Mitch McConnell in 2008 and has only gotten worse is not going to magically cease. She knows and ignores how Republicans have no interest in unity, that they instead seek to profit from divisiveness. She knows and ignores how passage of these voting rights bills is essential to preserving our democracy and republic. She knows and ignores that the filibuster is not a tradition, but a Civil War and Jim Crow relic, the legacy of slavery, White supremacists and White separatists. She dishonestly omits mention of the filibuster carve out for the debt ceiling made just a couple of weeks previous she voted for. And she deliberately neglects to inform us of all the corrupt money she is receiving from Republican donors and corporate lobbyists.
