  1. 3:14 - "Smoke" may now be Purple's trademark but, when the "Machine Head" LP was being completed the band considered it little more than a routine filler track. There were no plans to release it as a 45 and, at the beginning of the tour, it was not even on the setlist! All this changed quickly, making "smoke on the water" the deffenitive fan-favorite.
