  1. How 'bout "Elegy for fallen wellies" from "Last of the Summer Wine" (2000)? "Summer Wine" was England's longest running sitcom- actually the longest sitcom in the world (1973-2010). In 1999 Bill Owen, the unofficial star, died. His death was written into the story. At the end of "Wellies" the whole ensamble says goodbye to "Compo" in probably the most unique tribute ever filmed. "Summer Wine" was one of the UK's funniest shows but the "See Ya Compo" moment WILL move you to tears! Since you're on YouTube anyway scroll up and search "See ya Compo"...
