  1.  @123-e5z4e  Actually it is! After the attempt on Pres. Reagan's life in March 1981 by an obsessed Jodie Foster fan People Magazine ran a cover story "Why Stars Fear Their Fans". Early in that article we learn "fan" is short for "fanatic"!

  2. President James Garfield! In 1881 (only 16 years after Lincoln's death!) the President was alone in a train station when he was shot by a former campaigner! Garfield eventually died from those wounds!
