What's wrong with R2-D2? he was the the star of the Star Wars series, the only one to be in all 9 movies and saved the day in most of them. If someone gave me that as a callsign I'd have my helmet painted like R2's head.

Apparently when the guest help has more fast jet hours than the two youngsters combined. Back when the F-14's flew, some of the high time pilots would take the F-14A, the oldest plane they had and would fly them against pilots in F/A-18E's, F-16C's and F-15's. There was even an incident when an older gentleman in an F-4J had a 1v1 with an F/A-18C driver and he spent most of his time with the F/A-18 trying desperately and unsuccessfully to stay out of the F-4J driver's HUD and crosshairs.
