@feedyourmind6713 No, the US did not annex Afghanistan., When what was needed was a 50 year program to create a stable self sustaining government. Throughout the US occupation of Afghanistan, we heard calls from the Republicans of "NO NATION BUILDING" and from the Left it was "NO WAR FOR OIL err GAS". Well we never did create a stable government, that would have require commitment that the US citizenry did not have. Well we got what the US public, left and right wanted. We are out of Afghanistan, The Taliban are back in power, women have been removed from government, from work places and schools. We got the result that US voters wanted.
