And yeah, the Russians are losing 4 tanks for every 1 that the Ukrainians lose. Look the Oryx database if you want to see the truth. And Oryx is on the conservative side, just compare it to the numbers issued by the Russian and Ukrainian governments. As to why Ukraine needs more tanks, Russia is "winning", so why is it raiding its storage facilities for tanks that were retired 30-40 years ago? Ukrainians need more tanks just as the Americans, British and USSR needed more tanks. In war, equipment gets destroyed even when you win.

  41. No, You stay you are in an area that has been extremely pro-American (thanks to George Bush the elder, Bill Clinton, GWB and Barrack Obama). For all intents and purposes the Assad government will not move against the Kurds because the Kurds are denying territory from the anti-Assad rebels and the Sunni jihadists.

Trump had to get their #2 out of jail so they could have someone to sign a peace treaty. As to Vietnam, We were negotiating a peace deal in Paris with Hanoi who said that the concessions were not enough and demanded better terms. So the US launched one of the largest bombing campaigns of the war. Hanoi came back to Paris and accepted the terms of the deal.

  43. UK does not have enough fighters to send. Ukraine needs over 120 fighter aircraft, and they will need to be of the same model to keep the logistics simple. That rules out Typhoon and Eurofighter. That leaves the F-16 and JAS-39E. Grippen is more suited to Ukraine's operations and cheaper, easier to mentain F-16 is more available, there more of them available right now than there are Gripens. Also the F-16 plant can build 2 planes for every one that SAAB can build.
