Let's see I'm in my late 50's and I don't have a criminal record and I've had guns pointed at me repeatedly, each time the gun was held by a cop. I've had to call the cops just once and it took them 15 minutes to get to me. So tell me, when at risk, do I wait for the cop or do I deal with the threat myself??

@RandomOldPerson The official response time is 5-10 minutes. Yeah I was lucky??, I know one of the local radio hosts here had her house broken into while she was at her drivetime radio program and she called the police after she came home and found the intruder's feces in her closet. The cops showed up 12 hours later

By the way, Gun ownership in the USA in places like Virgina 1740-1810 was around 54-73% These days while 50% of households have a gun, 50% of all the guns in the USA are owned by 3% of the population.
