  1. A slow car driven fast is a lot more fun than a fast car driven slowly, and a mini feels fast at 45mph.

  2. Dude, it was John Cooper's first drive in the 850cc Mini that convinced him to turn it into a race/rally car. This was the car that the engineers had sliding around their test track, doing J turns, going around corners in a four wheel drift, jumping over humps in their dirt track.

  5. Something the old mini has that the new mini's don't. A and engine coolant temperature gauge. In the new mini, by the time the temperature warning comes on, it's too late, your engine has already overheated.
