Oh please, Tesla lobbied to end all EV subsidies to protect it's market share and strangle new EV companies and keep them from using Tesla's tactic of direct EV sales and cut them off from government incentives. If Tesla wants it's customers to get the tax credit it should do 1. reduce it's 30% profit margin to bring it down to under the price limit 2. read the law 3. in the US market source all battery mineral and components from inside the North American Free Trade Zone, That means batteries made with minerals from China and Africa stay in Asia and Africa.
