@nt78stonewobble Most of that is due to poor training from the US Army. Going back to when female nurses and female recruits were found to have more foot, ankle injuries. Turned out it was due to the Army issuing women, mens boots sized small. The army eventually issued proper combat boots sized for women instead of the mens boots and slippery no traction boots and the ankle injuries fell to normal. Foot injuries were reduced when they reducing the stride distance to take into account the women's height and the foot and heel fractures fell. Think training and living like top level athletes. The USAF is coming to that realization and is working on finding a way instilling proper nutrition and lifestyles among pilots. Things as simple as what you drink or don't drink before a flight. Proper sleep and exercise, staying hydrated. These effect how pilots perform in high g high stress combat after a 4 hour flight.

@nt78stonewobble The Army that issued nurses boots designed to be used at MASH and hospitals to female soldiers out in the field with loose dirt and mud. Still trying to use one metric on people who are built physically different.

@ryanl1293 There are male soldiers that did the same thing, even called in artillery on their own position because they were too overcome with fear and paralysis to read the right line
