Well said! They should have just stuck with the original death by cancer. That showed Superman that despite his strength, he has limits. That was humbling. this was stupid! Superman would never EVER let someone die if he could save them! This scene made him out to be some indecisive weak character with no principles and his "father" was made out to be an idiot.

And yet he saved a drowning school bus when he was younger? That some weird excuse?

Terrible scene! I don't give a damn what Zack was trying to accomplish "artistically" here. What parent teaches their child to let people die for a secret?!

@sanjayVlogs491 Simple: Have him save his father. Even if some people saw him, nothing would come of it. He already saved the kids in the sinking school bus and they saw him but no one else believed them. The movie already established this.

@sanjayVlogs491 I did watch the movie. The kids told their parents and only one mother came to the Kent's home to reveal it and nothing else happened. His parents denied it and no other community member talked about it. He continued to live in the town despite this so clearly no one else knew his secret.

@sanjayVlogs491 No. I simply want consistency. The movie lacked a lot of consistency. One scene he saves his school mates in a bus and they all saw him but it didn't affect his life and his identity was still unknown by most people. Then a tornado happens but his idiot father said "Don't save me, even though it makes sense and you identity would still be a secret because very few people would see you during a tornado" No consistency at all.

@sanjayVlogs491 He was not "Superman" at that time but he had his powers like superspeed and super strength. He could have easily saved his father and the dog with little stress. The movie had no reason to do such a dumb scene like this because it misunderstand how Superman is. He never refuses to save anyone when he can, even if they say no because that was how the Kents raised him to be a good person. This movie made a mistake in removing that. If you want a good example of Superman movies, I recommend the two movies made in the 1970s and the Superman and Justice League animated series in the 90s. They have better story telling and writing than this movie.

@sanjayVlogs491 I am not forcing you to do anything. i am simply recommending a good piece of media from one Superman fan to a new one. I was not born in the 70s myself (I was born in 1995) but quality is still quality regardless of age or time period.
