  1. Styx, as a Nigerian, I really appreciate your objective coverage of this situation in west Africa. You were one of the few westerners who talked of it months ago and even warned how it would be bad for our region. France deserves criticism but that is not enough to support military dictatorship. Many Africans online and some westerners actually think we all support these coups but most of us don't because we know how it leads to more insecurity, economic hardship and destroys democracy here. Already islamic insurgency has increased in the countries with coups and it's a threat to my own country.

  2.  @lt851  Thank you. Heck! Styx literally pointed out how Nigeria is the main power and backer in ECOWAS and how our military is the largest and best trained and equipped here. We have literally been pushing back against Boko Haram and ISIS here with more success than most other African countries in ECOWAS. It's strange this person actually thinks of my military as inept.
