  1. Same, friend! I am black and was born and raised in Nigeria and loved movies and much of western media before all tis woke identity politics trash came into frame and ruined escapism for me. Now whenever I hear "diversity, inclusion" as a tag-line for any media or used as a selling point(wakanda forever, woman king etc) I just get revolted and tune out. When I was young, it was never like this. We had diverse media e.g. Hey Arnold, As told by Ginger, etc but they actually focused on good writing and characterisation rather than divisive identity politics. Thank God anime and manga exist.

  2. Took the words right out of my mouth, friend. At this point, any piece of western media that has those red flags (we all know the ones) is pretty much guaranteed to be poorly written woke trash.

  3. Grace Randolph has become such a joke. I used to be subscribed to her since Indy Mogul, when I was back in Nigeria, and once she started all the woke identity politics garbage, I just dropped her.

  6. I couldn't care less for this new movie. It has all the red-flags I avoid in media (i.e. identity politics as a selling point, wokeness, generic family trauma "woe is me! nobody understands me! Family sucks" trope, and just a boring look and fell overall😒😒)
