  1. As someone who only used reddit for a short time, (I joined in 2019 but dropped it in 2021) this is bitter-sweet. Yes, it is incredibly toxic and politically captured by the toxic left but it also has some great communities. For me, when I was banned from the r/Fantasy subreddit for complaining about race-swapping, despite being black, I was welcomed into the r/Anime and r/Manga subreddits when I got into anime and manga in 2020. I also built my first PC in 2021 because of help from r/PCMasterrace and r/PCBuilds👍👍
