@abubakaryakubu2368 Is it a lie? Maybe you people should try and emulate men like Atiku and the late Yar'Adua who wanted to more nationalism and to restructure Nigeria so that all regions could function well instead of continuing your stupid tribalism. The north cannot survive without the south and you know it. Why not work with us and try and improve your region?

@abubakaryakubu2368 Okay, I see your point. I was too harsh and emotional in my initial comment and too judgemental about the whole north. Sorry. I was born in Lagos but I spent half of my childhood in Abuja and the only other place in the north I have been to is Jos. So, you are right that my perspective is not very wide. I have no doubt there are many good people in the north and even states like Kaduna tend to be very tolerant, commercial/business friendly and more developed. It is mainly the insecurity that makes the north have problems but I was wrong to lambast all of the north for the failings of some politicians and buhari.

Lagos built an artificial island but lacks sewage infrastructure or water infrastructure and only has one metro line?! Talk about foolish city planning 😢

I really give you amazing kudos and respect for making this video. Changing conceptions about places and people is a very notable thing. That being said, it is not enough to convince me, as a southerner and a Christian to ever set foot anywhere in the north. Maybe back in the 2000s and early 2010s I would have when security was better and national unity was stronger but not today. Not until they fix their region. I have no doubt there are many great people there but my point still stands.

@SM-rf4vr I admit that my initial comment was too insulting and that was wrong. Also, I shouldn't judge the whole north like that. Their politicians and elites may have problems but i shouldn't blame the citizens for that. I know few states there like Kaduna, along with Kano, are the most developed, tolerant, commercial, business friendly states in northern Nigeria and I am more convinced by what I am seeing from them. The governments there are different from usual northern politicians. I am still very critical of most northern politicians because of their clear and proven track record of mismanagement and how they impoverish/endanger their own people (and the rest of Nigeria indirectly) and use religion as their shields but gradually more northern politicians are improving things.

@SM-rf4vr I agree wholeheartedly, friend. I also want Nigeria to remain united and for us to work on improving it fo the better. It was already happening prior to 2015 when proper political leadership was around. As bad as teh situations have been, I am still cautiously optimistic for the future.

@sodiqmustapha194 oh, thanks for explaining

Well, good for them building these mansions but this really seems wasteful. Also, do most South-east people invest in factories, roads and other stuff that can actually improve the communities? I am not trying to start tribal argument. Just genuinely curious

@techtactics788 Exactly. That is one of my biggest hangups. I know we are not perfect in the south and even some mob justice happens here but in the north, it genuinely feels more like a frequent thing as the horrible death of Deborah shows but as you also rightfully pointed out, the majority are not like that and are very good people. It's just the loud and violent minority they have among them and their corrupt elites who allow their society to be like that.
