  1. On the topic of clans/tribes, one thing I, as a Nigerian, am grateful for western civilization and Christianity is how it led to the breaking of the clan structure. Christianity banned cousin marriage in much of Europe and this forced people to intermingle more with others and develop the high-trust liberal social structure the west is known for. This is also somewhat manifesting itself in some of Africa; particularly where the British colonized. Im ny country, tribalism is still an ever-present issue but nationalism and a secular national identity are gradually taking shape here. Our tribes are still important but not as deadly adamant as ut used to be. So, yeah, thanks for that Britian❤

  2.  @generaldissatisfaction5397  Absolutely agreed. Heck! The whole reason slavery was largely abolished in much of Africa is thanks to teh British.
