As a Nigerian, thanks for making this video. You covered the points objectively. It is surprising to me how many westerners and even some Africans actually think we in west Africa support this coup. We are appalled by it and we know how it will lead to insecurity and increased social and economic problems for us.

@Snayks-bakes you are right. I am not a Nigerien. But can I ask you why you assume this coup won't end poorly for the people of Niger? Their democracy was overturned and their security has gotten worse. Also, look at Mali and Burkina Faso. They had coups for the same reason and now islamic terrorism has gotten worse there and most of the public there see the coups as disastrous. The only ones benefitting from these coups are the military thugs who wanted power and the Islamic insurgents who can now act with impunity. As for us in Nigeria, this is even worse for us. Whose country will get flooded by insurgents and refugees from these countries?
