One thing people need to understand about Canada is that in the eastern part (mainly in Ontario, Quebec, and the others) where trudeau and his "liberal" party mainly occupy, is steeped in leftist elitist "nationalism" in their attempts to distinguish themselves from America and their British liberal heritage. Thus, they have a natural disdain for the more blue-collar middle class and western Canada. That is also why the majority of his supporters, especially in the media and academia, were okay with his idiotic and illegal actions towards the truckers and any Canadians who voiced opposition to his economic and social policies before and during the pandemic. It's also why he foolishly assumed all EU members would be in support of him during this conference.
