Thank you so much for making this video. Just discovered your channel and now I'm subbed. As an African myself (Nigerian, specifically) it always annoys me when most people only attribute Africa's current problems to "colonialism or racism", effectively removing personal responsibility of us Africans, and ignore more important factors like geography, climate, socioeconomic systems, political unity, corruption, and leadership. Thanks for focusing on those areas and being more objective in your video.

@Bell_plejdo568p The CIA and America are also involved in much of Africa and yet countries like Rwanda, Botswana, Kenya, Namibia, Ghana, Tunisia, Morocco, Ethiopia and a few others are doing better socio-economically. Why is that? Maybe because at the end, it is good governance and policies that make countries do well instead of blaming external factors or using neo-colonialism as an excuse and not taking personal responsibility.

As a Nigerian, I have so much respect for them. They turned the tide and set the precedent for how to destroy those damn rebels. Kudos to those brave South Africans. I only wish that they and my country's ECOMAG soldiers could have teamed up.

Thanks for making this video. As a Nigerian growing up in the 2000s, I always heard my father say "The UN is a toothless bulldog!" He worked for our federal government in public finance during the period of the war. Now I understand why and I agree with him. Also, absolute kudos to all who helped fight the rebels and save lives: my country's brave soldiers, Executive Outcome, The Kamajors, The Indian and British soldiers and others who refused to let those evil people have their way.

I hear you, my guy. I was born in 1994 but I always remember my father talking endlessly about how wonderful and brave our army was during that period, as I was growing up in the 2000s, and how they saved lives. He also cursed teh UN as a toothless bulldog and now I see why. God bless our armed forces and God bless Nigeria and Sierra Leone.

The more I learn about the history of my region, West Africa, the more I come to hate the UN and the various governments in said region. But I also come to greatly appreciate my own country, Nigeria, and our great neighbor, Ghana. No matter teh issues we face, our military and government is one of the pillars keeping west Africa stable.

God bless you and your country for intervening in Africa like that. respect from Nigeria.

Now you all know why the Africans in South Sudan rebelled and fought to separate from the Arabs of Sudan. Anywhere Arabs in Africa hold sway, there is always instability, war and tensions.

Thank God that communism and socialism failed in Africa, but sadly not without killing so many Africans via conflicts, repression and starvation. We have enough issues her and we don't need those two destructive and evil ideologies adding to them.

As a Nigerian, I couldn't agree with you more😔😔

@doezietunshe1745 I absolutely agree with you, friend. Elements in our government are more than likely sponsoring them.
