  1. As a black guy, I have to ask why didn't they just hire an attractive black actress? Maybe it's because I am Nigerian but I assume westerners prefer attractive actors and actresses, right? There was a Disney version of Cinderella with Brandy playing her and it was great and she was hot. I hate that they raceswapped Juliet but they could have at least found a more attractive black actress for this role. That's the issue most people have but most of us honestly won't even bother with this version once it's out.

It only became an issue when crazy woke westerners started pushing toxic identity politics in media. Now, even genuinely good diverse characters get lumped in with the bad ones😔 I really hope this trend ends at some point.

  13. ​@jazzwhitney3333 agreed. I know the Shakespeare story of Romeo and Juliet has nothing to do with race but since westerners decided to race-swap it for no reason, they could have at least found an attractive bIack actress 😅 They do exist but westerners never seem to want to depict them
