As a Nigerian immigrant in North America, it just baffles me how these progressive black Americans can be so deluded. They voted for these policies and the party that caused this but now they are shocked by the results?! Tbeir culture needs to change!

As a Nigerian-immigrant in North America, I really don't blame you, friend. Many of us Africans are sickened by their community (black progressives) as well. Black American conservatives tend to speak out against this stuff but sadly the radical progressive ones tend to hold political and institutional power.

@therealdarrell282 no. Culturally wise, mostbof us Nigerians are more close to Black American conservatives like Thomas Sowell.

@Wrangzilla it is sad. I know many black Americans are more culturally conservative but it is sadly the radical progressive ones who hold political and institutional power. This then leads to the problems in culture and so on.

@penguinjay yeah, that is one major fear. My dad always praises me for how I didn't lose myself after he sent me here, despite the hardships I faced. That being said, one thing that helps is that a sizeable portion of black Americans are culturally conservative and this gels well with us Africans when we find such people.

@therealdarrell282 believe me, I know and agree fully with you. That's why I said black progressives in my original reply comment. I also mentioned how most of us Nigerians are more like Black conservatives. I know most black people in the USA are not unhinged progressives and that they don't support the crazy ones, but sadly the crazy progressive ones tend to hold political and institutional power and create the negative perception.
