@Jermimahhermadinkle Funny you mention this. Back in the late 60s to 90s, Nigeria was under military rule for several periods and capitalism was gone during that time and our economy suffered and life got worse. We only started getting better when we returned to democracy and capitalism. So i don't think you understand our history. Also, regarding inperialism, yes, that happened but considering how most of our countries here prefer to keep using the systems left by the Europeans like democracy, modern technology and education, civic liberties, etc. You can criticize colonialism and imperialism but don't be dishonest and act as if its all black and white. Botswana and Zimbabwe are good examples to conpare. The former chose to adopt and embrace the systems left by the British and they thrive today while the latter decided to abandon them and enbrace authoritarianism. Guess which country is better for it's people😕

@Jermimahhermadinkle Um, China and India both have a high portion of their population in poverty😂 and both are still listed as developing nations😂 So I guess neither is doing well as you think. But also, I dare you to tell me that China still practiced Maoism😂 After he thankfully deid, they abandoned that nonsense and went for capitalism and started to improve. Same with India after decades of failed socialism and communism.
