You actually have the right to defend yourselves and bear arms against threats like this. In my country, Nigeria, if we had a fraction of that 2nd Amendment, we would be much safer. Insecurity has become so bad here and recently, a Catholic church was attack by islamists and 50 members were gunned down. Our local police and army are useless and actively arrest people who use guns to defend themselves. Seriously, you American don't know how lucky you are.
