That is such a wonderful story and I thank you for sharing it. Just reminds me of another related-ish story about British monarchs, Specifically late Queen Elizabeth II. She was really popular here in my country, Nigeria, during the era of colonialism and post colonialism. She was so down-to-earth but still had an aura of authority about her. On her first visit to Nigeria, she actually refused any sort of royal convey for a portion of her trip and instead accepted an invitation from our country's first millionaire (an Igbo businessman) to tour the urban and rural areas in his own personal car. She met with various people (government, tribal chieftains, and local citizens) and when she returned on subsequent visits, we still loved her for her nature. God rest her soul, amen.
