As a Nigerian, I am always amazed by Botswana. Plus, thanks for the video and teh objective coverage. Most people just assume that all of Afdrica's problems are due to colonialism or racism but you addressed socioeconomic, political, and geographic issues in this video. Botswana is such an amazing country and an underrated one even in Africa. After colonialism, the leadership under Seretse Khama didn't simply do as other post-colonial African leaders did i.e. he didn't go full marxist authoritarian and instead kept the institutions and socio-economic model the British had built up and even modified it. Plus, he maintained good diplomatic relationships with the west and due to his sound leadership, Botswana continues to be a politically stable and economically stable and growing country in Africa and this is despite being between two basket case countries of Zimbabwe and South Africa (Zimbabwe 2.0)

@corteztt518 amazing! So basically, their traditional sociocultural and political systems were based on consensus building? No wonder they quickly embraced British Parliamentary system and stuff like property rights, which is pretty much the same. Thanks for explaining, friend.

@learningisfun5163 is that why they are slaughtering animals like elephants to feed starving communities in Zimbabwe? Is that why South Africa is experiencing infrastructure issues and load shedding and a lot of other issues?
