  1. As a millennial newcomer to Star Trek, I will always be grateful to my friend, Darrell, whom I met in the gym in 2019. He is a life-long Star Trek fan and he helped me get into the franchise. He was also adamant that I avoid more of the kelvin timeline movies and shows and boy am I glad I listened to him. I watched the 2009 movie and thought it was okay but then I hated Into Darkness. Thanks to Darrell, I decided to buy the OG series, Next generation, Deep Space Nine and all the pre-kelvin movies.
