  1. It's an issue of culture, not just religion. Remember that countries like Oman, Jordan, Malaysia, Indonesia are all Muslim but also some of stable and developed countries around. Arab culture is the issue

  2. @PresidentFlip  yes, and clearly not typical Arabic culture or even typical Arabic Islam. Both have stable economies, tolerant cultures and better outlooks.

  3. @PresidentFlip  yes, I know that. I see you also fail to mention that Oman is an Ibadi Islamic nation. Ibadi Islam is known for being more tolerant, allowing for some democratic representation, and for embracing some modernity aka capitalism, property rights, and a few others. Not exactly a typical Arab country, are they?
