  1. No country suffered more due to the USSR than RUssia. Tsarist Russia was achieving great economic progress and societal reform and liberalism. It had high birth rates, entrepreneural and growing middle class and was an innovator in culture, art, science and economics. After the communists took over, all that progress was destroyed and Russia has not recovered since.
