One thing I have ALWAYS wondered if why and how the Arabs and Muslims didn't destroy or ruin or tarnish the ancient Egyptian monuments, structures, a few customs, and heritage after they conquered Egypt. I mean, given what we saw in Afghanistan and Iraq (Muslims destroying ancients ruins and artifacts because of some religious b.s) I am curious why they didn't do this in Egypt.
