I am a Nigerian who loves the original animated movie and all I can say after watching this....trailer is Thank god for physical media! I bought the DVD/Blu-ray of the OG movie and I am so glad I did! Such a cherished movie from my childhood and one me and younger siblings watch together for fun😄 You woke Americans can take your tokenising insulting race-swapped version and shove it! There was nothing wrong with the original and none of us black people ever felt that Ariel needed to be black for us to love her movie. Wokeness is just disgusting

As a Nigerian-immigrant currently working and schooling in North America, I have come to one conclusion: Social Justice, wokeness and progressivism can ONLY exist in a developed, liberal and first-world nation/region where there are very few existential threats and where the purposeless masses in urban areas have to create some form of ideology to fill the void in their lives. That is why it makes no sense and destroys that society. That is also why rural westerners, non-western countries and immigrants mostly tend to hate social justice and wokeness more than the native citizens.

As a Nigerian, let me offer a simple example of why the western left power theory is wrong. When the British colonized us, one thing they did later on was to abolish slavery and enforce it via economic pressure and military pressure. This was something no other African tribes or Arab tribe had ever done. They did it because they had the power to do so and we in Africa still benefit from this today. Having power doesn't make you evil not does being powerless make you good.

As a Nigerian, it never ceases to amaze me how most of the anti-capitalists I have encountered in my life are ALWAYS upper-class, privileged and usually westerners. Why would they want to undermine and destroy the economic system that has made their society prosper and improved a huge portion of the world?! Is it boredom or madness?🤔🤔

Wakanda forever, aside from poor writing, pacing and world building, was just so disappointing to me on personal level. When I first immigrated to Canada from Nigeria, one of the comics that made me get into comics was Jonathan Hickman's New Avengers where T'Challa and Namor were bitter enemies but also part of the illuminati and worked to save the earth form destruction. They had a serious rivalry, an eventual battle (and WHAT A BATTLE IT WAS🤩) and reconciliation in the subsequent comics like Battle World and Secret Wars. Namor went from being an anti-hero, to a villain to a redeemed hero and T'Challa evolved as a hero and leader. It was wonderful. This movie ruined that and turned Namor into another victim-hood allegory and made Wakanda look stupid, sexist (the way they humiliate black men and men in general😖), and even more raciallly bigotted (Wakanda are disgustingly racist to everyone compared to the comics!) than the first movie. The brand of Black Panther was ruined the moment it went mainstream and woke identitarians got a hold of him. Now he is a joke.

This is a surprise. I never thought I would see w stern celebrities actually making sense and even condemn the child trans trend🤔

As a conservative, i am just fed up with media of any kind that pushes toxic identity politics, whether from the left or right. That's why anine and manga are winning. We won't beat wokeness by acting like them! Juat make good entertaining media without any toxic identity politics or "gotcha" political moments😡

As a Nigerian, i used to foolishly believe that the problems of Haiti were due to colonialism or racism ymuntil i got more knowledge and perspective. Their problems are mainly their own fault due to their poor culture, politics and geography. Many countries have problems and were also colonized by never became as bad as Haiti. They have no excuse.

I was born in Nigeria in 94. I experienced terrible accidents like falling into an empty well as a child, being attacked by a dog, having hot coals burn my foot, sticking my hand in a blender, and having my family home broken into and robbed yet I never grew up into a mentally and physically stunted/weak man. This is one serious sickness affecting western millennials and zoomers.

I will never understand, as a Nigerian, why black Americans are ALWAYS quick to defend thugs and criminals in their community. She stile and attempted to kill a police officer and was a racist. Why were they defending her?!
204
Really sad that it took this long for westerners to actually pay attention to what their children were being taught😔😔

And just what are these Venezuelans going to do about it?! They vot d for Chavez, who took away their arms and became a defacto dictator, just because he gave them free money. Maduro is just doing what they voted for😂😂😂😂

Many prominent anti-capitalists and socialists happen to be wealthy, upper and upper-middle class westerners🤔 It never ceases to amaze me, as a Nigerian, how these people can come to hate the system that has blessed them and their country for decades!
53
We all know you westerners will never do this.
50
Thank God I was born and raised in Nigeria before I emigrated to North America. That helped prevent me from becoming another weak and useless effeminized millennial man.
46
@STW2015 why should i gove a shit about any of this? Their war is not my damn problem.
46
Thank God! Disney actually had the chance to release Sound of Freedom when they bought FOX but they refused to release it ( I wonder why?🤔) Then Jim Caviezel and co fought to get it away from Disney and it was picked up by a Christian studio who now released it. So wonderful to see good triumph over evil.
45
As a Nigerian, i will never understand the weirdness of western liberals😔😮💨 I am no hypocrite given some of the weird stuff in my country but actively promoting anti-natalism?! That's just weird😢
44
So happy he was found innocent! I still can't believe he was ever convicted for stopping a dangerous man with a history of arrests, who was threatening others. Maybe it's cause i'm Nigerian that this confuses me. Anyway, thank God he is innocent. Love and respect from Nigeria to Mr. Penny.

Times of change or upheaval are also times of opportunity

I am shocked such women like her exist in the western world 😯 She sounds amazing! And she has definitely earned her position due to her skill and love/respect for her team and subordinates.
35
I'm Nigerian and I can't tell you how much I, and most other people, in my country hate western DEI woke nonsense. Toxic identity politics helps no one. Heck! I recently got into anime and the characters are diverse a d so well written. Western media used to already do diversity well. What happened?!
33
Dylan Mulvaney is a hero! The freak has done more to promote sobriety than anyone!🤣🤣👍👍
30
Thank God she was stopped before she could hurt others and the officer is safe but he still, sadly, got wounded by her😔 As a Nigerian, it's baffling to me how some westerners will still defend her simply for race and gender.
24
@@DaveIncognito-kk9ym I can't argue with that. Even modern Europe got like that because of Roman colonialism. But it has to be the right colonizing force. European colonialism actually left much of Africa better than it was prior and many of us silently acknowledge this. On the other hand, African and Arab colonialism left nothing but problems and ruination for us.

Thank God I was born and raised with discipline and love by my parents and relatives back in Nigeria before coming to North America 🙏

@rodneyp9590 Thanks, friend. Also, man! I hope you didn't too seriously injured in that one. Thankfully, my fingers were still small as I was a toddler and so the blender mainly tore the back skin off three of my fingers. I still got the scars but thankfully none the worse. My parents didn't even spank me cause the pain and visit to the clinic for treatment and shots was punishment enough😂

@CSestp oh, am I? I had no idea, as a Nigerian, that I was funding another middle east tribal war🤣🤣

Me: "Where did this take place?" Sees California Me: "Oh, never mind. You get what you vote for, libs"

First time I ever read Maus was in 2013 when I was visiting my cousins in Mississauga and I went to the local library and saw it on display. Being from Nigeria, we don't get taught about WWII or too much about the Holocaust. It sparked my curiosity and I read it the whole day. Later on, in 2017, after finishing my night shift I went home and decided to stop at a local used book store owned by brother and sister who were friendly with me. I perused teh sore and discovered, to my delight, the full complete Maus box set containing vol 1 and 2! For only CAD$9.99! I instantly bought it and it has been with me since. Now I see the books selling for USD$35-50 on Amazon and it makes me feel even better that I bought mine when I did.

Why didn't Crowder just politely decline their offer and contract instead of trying to insinuate the DW was corrupt or something?
16
Australia has done so much damage to their long-term reputation with this. Even in Nigeria, we are not doing stuff like this. That should tell you how messed up thing have become in the west.
16
Most of us in Africa are still confused why you Americans ever elected him

Today, as I was working at my Wendys Saturday shift, I was at the front cash register taking orders. An elderly couple came up to order, I took their order with all smiles and even discounted their combos and added the Senior discount on top (something others usually tend to forget) and after they thanked me, we chuckled, told jokes, and the lady even complimented my smile and teeth and my good English (I am a Nigerian-intl student and it always warms my heart when folks in Canada say I have good English speaking skills) I will never understand why any one would think us men hate women giving us compliments🤔
11
@Barnabus007 nah. I legally emigrated here and I am still working, schooling and paying taxes without receiving any benefits. Basically I am doing the immigration thing right by contributing positively to Canada and upholding the good culture of this country👍
11
So you mean to tell me that hiring a Reality TV producer to manage a failing "news" network was a terrible idea?! 🤔 I AM IN SHOCK! but not really😋 He is just trying to save his own skin before the eventual lawsuits.
11
I donated to Nick Sandmann's legal fund. I will PROUDLY donate to Kyle's fund as well! These people need to held accountable! Just don't use gofundme or kickstarter!

As a millennial, I respect you Gen Xers a lot. You are the only post+boomer generation that is still moderate, well adjusted and rational. When you guys eventually take over after the boomers, I believe the world will be a better place.
10
I thank God that I was given a good upbringing with love and discipline as a child in Nigeria by my mother and especially my father😌🙏

The ultimate form of rebellion in current year is to be a normal and decent human being with principles. It feels good to know I am part of this cool set.

Since my childhood in Nigeria, I have always been raised to be prepared for the worst. Even as I am in America for college and work, I still do that. There is inflation already in South Dakota where I am staying and grocery prices have been increasing but I get around this by buying only raw vegetables and meat in bulk and also avoiding brand products. I am now stocked full with family-sized laundry and dish detergent, family-sized toilet paper, family-sized flour, multiple cans of tomatoes, two value bags of rice and a box of raw chicken thighs. All of this cost me less than what most people pay in restaurants but it has been worth it, especially given the current shortages.

@NoirMorter You said it! When I emigrated here, I found myself becoming part of the new atheist group because i wanted to fit in and seem more sophisticated. it wasn't until I saw the identity politics creeping in and how narcissistic many of them were that I dropped out and re-affirmed my Catholic faith I was raised on in Nigeria. That experience showed me that my faith wa not something to be ashamed of and that it helped me be a better person.

Islam?

😂😂Got me with that one. Seriously, I hope they lock him!

@msvesta3931 Considering how the rebel leaders in Haiti reinstated the plantation slave system after they removed France, I don't believe you. Considering how they also invaded the Dominican Republic and continued plantation slavery as well, I don't believe you. I, and other Nigerians, owe you nothing. Slavery was abolished here and in much of Africa, by the British, not Haiti.
7
You can. How about not protesting for Hamas or terrorism?
7
Good! If this sicko was willing to set fire to someone's property, imagine what they would do to a human being!
7
I like Tim but honestly, many of my older Canadian conservative friends (i am a Nigerian) cannot stand him specifically because of his flip-floping that you mention and his talking over people. I am beginning to see their point.

@dinosaurusrex1482 Yes, the debt was huge and unfair but here's a few other facts: -that debt was only agreed on by President Boyer to keep his position without ever consulting with Haitian people or even trying to negotiate for less (it later was reduced by France). -Haiti was already suffering serious socioeconomic problems before the debt and they could have paid it much early and with little effect to their country had they actually made good political and economic reforms from the start. -Germany once had to repay heavy war reparations for WW1 and 2 and they didn't become failed states. Haiti is not the first or only country saddled with unfair debt.

@strategery101 friend, you said it. When I was a kid in Nigeria in the early 2000s, western media had diversity and social commentary but it was also well written with great great characters and focused mainly on entertainment and had nuance. Shows like Hey Arnold are a perfect example. Another is Fallout New Vegas with Joshua Graham as one of the best examples of conservative Christian character in media. I don't understand why western media has become the way it is.
