Honestly, they could have done this movie well😕 The story of a villain who died at the end and grows disinterested with his schemes and followers is not a bad story. Apocalypse Now did this with Kurtz. Marlon Brando's character grew a warrior cult around himself but was cynical and felt none of them understood him enough until he meets Willard and they come to understand each other and he welcomed death at his hand. That's brilliant. Todd just mucked everything up because he decided to hate his own audience for ideology.
