Wakanda forever, aside from poor writing, pacing and world building, was just so disappointing to me on personal level. When I first immigrated to Canada from Nigeria, one of the comics that made me get into comics was Jonathan Hickman's New Avengers where T'Challa and Namor were bitter enemies but also part of the illuminati and worked to save the earth form destruction. They had a serious rivalry, an eventual battle (and WHAT A BATTLE IT WAS🤩) and reconciliation in the subsequent comics like Battle World and Secret Wars. Namor went from being an anti-hero, to a villain to a redeemed hero and T'Challa evolved as a hero and leader. It was wonderful. This movie ruined that and turned Namor into another victim-hood allegory and made Wakanda look stupid, sexist (the way they humiliate black men and men in general😖), and even more raciallly bigotted (Wakanda are disgustingly racist to everyone compared to the comics!) than the first movie. The brand of Black Panther was ruined the moment it went mainstream and woke identitarians got a hold of him. Now he is a joke.

@Barnabus007 nah. I legally emigrated here and I am still working, schooling and paying taxes without receiving any benefits. Basically I am doing the immigration thing right by contributing positively to Canada and upholding the good culture of this country👍

@Barnabus007 again, nah. I still am a Nigerian citizen and I do still visit my country and help my extended family there, while living an upright life here to not being shame to Nigeria. Yes, I legally emigrated here for a better life and I'm not ashamed of that. There are many Canadians who do likewise by emigrating to the USA. Should they be shamed? Anything else you got, friend?

@Barnabus007 Yes, illegal immigration does become a serious issue for the west and any country that allows it. Lord knows my own country has porous border issues that have become a plague on us. But why should the majority of of us immigrants (who tend to be legal immigrants) be blamed for this? Is it not politicians who allow illegal immigration? Speaking of which, I emigrated here when Steven Harper was Prime Minister. So if a conservative government found me eligible to emigrate here, that shows I worked hard to earn it. Immigration is no one's right. It's a privilege I, and other immigrants, had to earn and still have to earn to repay the countries that grant us said privilege. It's the same in my country where Lebanese, Afrikaans, Indians, Chinese, British etc all work to improve our society, culture and economy. Plus, the majority of us aren't taking anything from your system, and instead work to contribute to it.

@WuTheBat Yeah, that was just so damn stupid. Also, you would think they would use guns as their weapons instead of spears! Heck! They have the Kimoyo system. Why not just use that?! This is the problem with these woke people. In their narrow-minded attempts to be "progressive", they promote more racist notions. Most of us black people, especially us from Africa, cannot stand that garbage.

@The_JohnnieWalker I hear you. For me, it was All New All Different marvel that killed my interest in comics. These days, I just buy Andreas manag and light novels. I'll give my money to content creators who actually tell good stories and respect their audience.

@Barnabus007 Then we both agree on more than we disagree. I, too, am all for better immigration laws. Those who respect a country's values, culture, and traditions and aim to improve said country should be the ones who are encouraged to immigrate. Lord knows that's how I earned the privilege to immigrate here and how others were able to immigrate to my country.

Yeah, it is both funny and strange how the initial comment was about comic books and a movie but that is internet for you😂 Also, I appreciate the kind words regarding me being an immigrant here. I sometimes will feel ashamed that other Nigerians will resent me but people like you help re-assure me. Contrary to what many people online assume, we Nigerians don't abandon our country. It is even one of my main objectives to help improve my country in any way while here. One small way I do that is by helping my Uncle who helped raise me, to pay for his children's school fees and help him set up a business. I hope to do more for Nigeria in future.

@Barnabus007 Friend, i can sort of see your point but if I may counter, most human societies are not as ethnically homogenous as you think and neither does ethnic homogenity mean social stability, economic progress or success in the long-run. I believe what you should be advocating for is cultural/national homogeneity i.e. civic nationalism where different peoples have a unifying cultural identity or national identity that binds them closer together despite past grievances or clashes. America is a perfect example. Even prior to Hert-Keller immigration act, the largely white population was not ethnically homogenous but had national homogeneity and this is why America tends to assimilate immigrants much better and thrive as a country because the country has always pushed for national unity above ethnic unity. Also, ethnic homogeneity doesn't always guarantee peaceful co-existence. Look at Rwanda and the ethnically similar Hutus ad Tutsis who had a genocide. Look at Europe and the world wars that happened there. Look at East Asia and the horrors of both the Japanese wars in the region and several genocides in places like Myanmar. Advocate for better things like Civic Nationalism. There are very few countries with complete ethnic homogeneity.

@Barnabus007 No, foreign invaders are not pillaging the west. What's happening is that a small but powerful segment of western political class is making foolish policies (social and economical) that have caused problems in the west and said policies run counter to some western values. That's usually how it plays in most countries. In mine, our current government has been enacting terrible polices that stifled all the economic growth, national unity and progress we made as a country since 99. We even have people in my country who simplify things like you and choose to blame foreigners and minority ethnic tribes here rather than focus on the true culprits.
