God bless President Tinubu for his efforts, especially economic reforms. No more subsidy or price controls and reducing wasteful corrupt bureaucracy👏👏 I was not on bis side initially, as a PDP supporter, but he has really earned my respect. I don't support his party butbi absolutely suppoyhin as a person and pray for his success as president.

Good news for us. We maintain our economic ties with China and others while also maintaining our geopolitical, military and economic ties with our western allies.

@OkonkwoNnamdiD-q5m respect, sir. I feel the same way. I may not support his party but I do support his views on the economy. More reform and economic liberalization is needed. Nice to see that more of us Southerners understand this.

Really happy that our country is still maintaining good diplomacy with France and our foreign allies. Some people think we should eject them and become like the Sahel three but I am glad we have wiser leaders in this country.

Finally! This corrupt criminal has been detained. Also very good panel discussing this case.

@auwalmusa7848 there is still economic hardship but that is to be expected since the reforms came late. Positive results include: no more wasteful spending on subsidy. Our debt profile is reduced from over 90% to 60%. Tax reforms to improve revenue generation and development of states (especially true for the north that will be forced to improve). Better security compared to the days of buhari.

@auwalmusa7848 my answer to this is simple: Federal government handles federal issues while State government handles state issues. That's how Nigeria is structured.

@Esbamken yes, for VERY limited industries and sectors. Not for the whole economy! Look at the Soviet Union and see what price controls leads to. Look at NITEL and see.
1
@auwalmusa7848 yes, developed countries do have some price controls but for VERY limited industries. No price control for commodities or the general market. That is a very dumb economic policy.

Well said. Thanks for this common sense

@buhariuwairu7048 maybe you northerners should get serious and actually manage/improve your economies better instead of complaining like children.
