This video of yours makes me remember something similar in my country, Nigeria. There was this monopoly we had called NITEL (Nigerian Telecommunications) that managed and controlled all the phone lines in the country since the 70s. It was garbage and just to set up a landline, people had to pay ten of thousands of Naira (a lot of money back then😲) Well, the very year I was born in 1992, the democratic government ended the monopoly and began to privatize the telecom industry. Within 5 to 6 years, even as I was a toddler, I began to see cellphones (really old style flip phones) and even ads for phone carries like MTN and cellphone and even landline prices dropped and service became better. Just another proof of how awesome capitalism can be.

21:05 Oh, I know what you mean, sir. Having grown up in Nigeria and visited the U.K. and am currently schooling and working in Canada, I agree about the difference in food quality and even produce. In Nigeria, the meat and vegetables and fruits were cheaper and fresher and tasted better. Our oranges are not orange on the outside at all and look mainly green with yellow but are so tasty and tartly-sweet on the inside. Fish is also really REALLY cheap and fresh in Nigeria but here in the west, fish is one of the most expensive things in their supermarkets! It's ridiculous!
