  1. Can we really say that? It basically feels like Georgia 2.0. I mean further eastward NATO expansion is not exactly going forward since this whole war started. Ukraine may ally itself closer to the west and Europe but I doubt they will be willing to cross Russia after this. This is also the same for the Baltic countries. Putin and Russia may suffer in the short-run but it seems that his long-term objectives have been accomplished. Had America and western Europe had stronger or smarter leadership, mayhaps this all could have been avoided.
