  1. This was deep and well said! As a fan of history, especially the objective discourse of history, you have my respect for this comment. Also, I know what you mean. I am a Nigerian and the more I learn about my country's, and Africa's history, the more I begin to see how biased academia, especially in the west has become. For starters, most people don't know that the British played a huge role in abolishing slavery in much of sub-Saharan African, even in my country before it was established. Most (though more and more are becoming aware of real history) still peddle the lie that slavery was one-sided with white people perpetuating it.

I used to have the typical leftist academic lie about the history of native Americans, i.e. that they were all innocent victims of genocide of the white man until I actually read up on the history myself. They were warriors and nomads who committed horrendous atrocities and acts that to them were perfectly normal but were just horrible to everyone else.
