Yeah, sorry but America (especially the CIA) get way too much credit for the past and current stagnation/destabilization in Latin America. The USA is only sporadically involved in Latin America and the peek of that involvement was between the mid 1800s and 1900s. The poor government and socioeconomic polices of Latin American countries (borne of the failed policies of Spain and Portugal) are what have resulted in much of the problems plaguing the region today.

Yeah, I think China will hoard its own food supplies more than give them out as leverage because the inflation situation is high there too and the economic slowdown is compounding their existing problems.

And this is why I will never ever take these western environmental alarmists/"activists" seriously. They are virtue-signalling hypocrites who just want to feel good rather than actually do good. And they don't care how short-sighted or destructive their initiatives or practices are as long as they feel good about it.
