This is sorta makes sense. Here in Nigeria, Germany is looking to increase their trade with us, especially in our natural gas. Energy needs and Putin are making many countries look for alternative partners.

@electrosyzygy yeah, that is a possibility but not very likely in our case. The countries in the Sahel they were involved in were already economically disparate, had multiple socioeconomic issues, were low in terms of geopolitical significance, and already plagued by Islamic and tribal insurgency. While we have insecurity in Nigeria, much of that stems from our areas bordered by already unstable countries and our economy and military is in far better shape than them, especially in terms of political structure. Plus, our geopolitical ties are leveraged enough that Russia has no huge presence here or means to destabilize our country as they did in the others
